The Etchr Hot Press Portrait Sketchbooks are vegan friendly and use 220g acid-free, artist grade 100% cotton paper. They open flat and have a landscape format. The paper is perfect for watercolour, ink, markers, acrylic and gouache.
Hot press paper has a fine-grained, smooth surface, with almost no tooth. It's ideal for large, even washes of one or two colours, drawing with pens and ink wash, and for painting fine details. The smooth surface makes it easier to draw and shade with dry mediums.

I've heard plenty of praises for Etchr and decided to take the plunge. Even at 220gsm, the paper could handle both sides of gouache in multiple layers. I loved the hot press texture as well. Really glad to have found a shop in Malaysia that sells these lovely sketchbooks. Zero issues on the shipping and handling from Le Art Shop too. Great experience all around!

I love the B5 size. I’ve always found A5 too small and A4 too big, so B5 is great! The hot press paper is perfect for all the mediums that I use - ink, gouache, watercolour and markers.
